Remote Position (OR/WA Only)

This is a remote position – incumbents who reside in Oregon or Washington only. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Legacy Health location.

All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork.

This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based before transitioning to the remote schedule.

Pharmacist Informaticists in collaboration with Pharmacy executive and operational leadership provide guidance and oversight of the design implementation adoption and integration of information systems and clinical technologies that relate to any aspect of the medication use process. They apply in-depth knowledge of the functional aspects of application systems to create user efficiency and lean clinical workflows utilizing data to optimize patient care in a measurable way. Informatics strives to improve system performance and adherence to clinical guidelines through the development and reporting of relevant metrics. Additionally the Pharmacist Informaticist participates in regularly scheduled clinical shifts.


Education: RPh required Pharm D preferred.

Five years of clinical pharmacy experience required. Prior Epic or other clinical information system design/build/implementation experience preferred. Desired experience includes data analysis data management associated with systems evaluation clinical research and analysis tools and methodologies. Project management and leadership experience preferred. Working knowledge of quality improvement and process/policy development and documentation preferred.

Thorough understanding of current developments and trends in data processing and systems. Demonstrated ability to do systematic thorough problem solving and to initiate client problem resolution. Ability to establish conceive and describe systems designs flow charts time schedules and network requirements. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis activities. Strong interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a wide range of people including peers and leadership. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and engaged able to lead design initiatives while remaining detail and goal oriented.

Current Pharmacy licensure in Oregon. Informatics certification board certification or Masters in Informatics within 1 year of hire. Epic proficiency/certification required within six months of hire.
