Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Technology and IT Operations this position will be responsible for the leadership operation and delivery of voice and data network services. The position will over see day to day operations related to the department provide leadership and act as a key escalation point/stakeholder during projects upgrades maintenance windows and deployments.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and mentor Network Infrastructure team members.
Provides leadership during major network incidents and ensures that service is restored as quickly as possible escalating when required and ensuring all stakeholders are kept up to date on network status.
Maintains budget planning and control for voice and data infrastructure.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to infrastructure configuration network mapping processes and service records.
Provides telephony hardware and software support by responding analyzing researching and resolving technical issues via telephone remote access or onsite ensuring service levels are met.
Development of RFP’s RFQ’s and leads the evaluation selection and award process.
Leads with the installation configuration and testing of new VoIP devices and performs upgrades as required.
Maintains security compliance of the Region’s voice and data networks through regular maintenance audits and reviews.
Monitors network and server performance and identifies when corrective action is required.
Oversee the creation management inventories and monitors enterprise devices and accounts.
Maintains comprehensive system documentation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
Diploma/Degree in Computer Science from a recognized Community College/ University
Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing Enterprise Networks
Experience with design and implementation of Cisco and Nortel/Avaya routing and switching technologies as well as Cisco or Avaya certification
Technical experience with multi-site VoIP environment and Cellular technologies including Wi-Fi LTE DECT 802.1x protocols and TCP/IP
Experience with telecom/data circuits: T1’s Ethernet MPLS PRIs SIP Trunks
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work with stakeholders and in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Preferred:
Experience with E911 in a PSAP environment
Experience with Microsoft products including Windows 10 Server 2016/2019 Active Directory DHCP DNS and SCCM
Experience in Netmotion CITRIX Fortinet VPN including IPSEC tunneling MDM authentication and encryption methods
Experience or knowledge of Avaya CS1000 High Availability and remote SMG and Branch systems
Knowledge and/or experience with wireless technologies including Cellular data modems WiFi 802.11 point to point and point to multi-point
Successful leadership of a networking team with the ability to manage complex information systems and technical personnel

Working Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to participate in a rotational standby schedule to provide technical support on a 24/7 basis and may be required to work after hours and weekends during maintenance windows.
