How you’ll contribute

Assist in the planning and execution of internal project(s) focused on the delivery of new or existing products services processes and/or technologies from initiation through delivery. Organize cross-functional activities and contribute to project completion while adhering to budget scope and schedule requirements. Additionally serve as an in-house project consultant in evaluating needs and vendor requests for proposal. Responsible for small-scale business/IT projects and/or portions of a program.

  • Assist in the development and implementation process of projects involving departmental vendor relationships and/or cross-functional teams
  • Partner with project stakeholders to define and confirm project objectives scope roles & responsibilities
  • Define resource requirements and manage resource availability & allocation
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan to schedule key project milestones work stream & activities
  • Manage delivery of the project according to this plan
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy adjustments and progress
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues
  • Meet with project team members to identify and resolve issues
  • Submit project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards
  • Prepare status reports by gathering analyzing and summarizing relevant information
  • Establish effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution
  • Serve as a point of contact for project teams when multiple practices and/or departments are allocated to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Manage and adjust for any changes in project scope schedule and/or budget
  • Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts to scope schedule and/or budget
  • Coordinate the development of user manuals training materials and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Identify and develop new opportunities with clients
  • Manage the relationship and communication with the project sponsor and all stakeholder ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction
  • Obtain customer acceptance of project deliverables
  • Manage customer satisfaction within the project transition period
  • Conduct post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives of established frameworks methodologies and best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

For this role you will need
Minimum Requirements
  • Associates Degree or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) preferred in a related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination/management with an Associates degree or
  • 1+ year of experience in project coordination/management with a BA/BS
  • Demonstrated proficiency is using both Mac and PC platforms as well as expertise in Microsoft O365 Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook) and other office productivity tools.
  • Proficiency with project management software
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation; the ability to build and maintain professional friendly and cordial relationships with colleagues peers and external vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve performance goals in a complex face-paced environment
  • Flexible and able to multi task switch priorities as needed within a collaborative environment
  • Highly resourceful team player with the ability to also be effective independently
  • Mobilize and motivate project teams set direction and approach drive stakeholder alignment and build consensus
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate the highest level of service excellence
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in grammar spelling and proofreading
  • Well organized detail-oriented and precise

  • CAPM – Certified Associate In Project Mgmt.

  • This role is also eligible for the Company’s incentive plan

  • The hourly or salary range is the range United Therapeutics Corporation in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting depending on the candidate’s experience qualifications seniority geographic location and other factors permitted by law. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
