Job Description and Duties

Under the supervision/ direction of the Inmate Assignment Lieutenant the OT is the primary in producing the institutional Master Pass List and provides support in the functional operation of the Inmate Assignment Office.

Pursuant to the Public Health Order (https://bit.ly/Covid19GuidanceCDPH) issued by the California Department of Public Health and the directive (https://bit.ly/Covid19CDCR) issued by the Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (CDCR) all staff who work in correctional settings who are unvaccinated partially vaccinated or have not provided a record of full vaccination shall undergo twice-weekly COVID testing with at least 72 hours between each test.

Working Conditions

Limited Term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.

Note: “or become permanent” does not apply to headquarters Peace Officer positions which must be filled limited term as those positions cannot be filled permanent.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by departmental annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
