Nike Digital Engineering is an exciting place and our team plays the role of building critical data pipelines that connect Nike Retail Nike App and Partners stores worldwide with our Enterprise systems 24/7.

Our production code is primarily written in Typescript and deployed on Amazon’s AWS infrastructure. We use EC2 Lambda DynamoDB SQS and S3 among other AWS services. Our architecture is focused on reliability resilience and performance.

We approach software using a DevOps model following industry practices like Continuous Integration and Observability. We collaborate within our team to help each other learn and grow encouraging frequent demos knowledge sharing and mentoring. We also cultivate collaboration with the teams within our ecosystem to drive our shared technology goals.


  • Successfully operate within our engineering environment and help it evolve.
  • Review their peers’ technical designs code and tests give practical and encouraging feedback and ask good questions.
  • Work in a collaborative environment that rewards experiments initiative curiosity and mentoring.
  • Practice DevOps ensuring a culture of testing and releasing software on AWS continuously using automation and monitoring.
  • Partner with other engineering and product teams to loosely couple and scale the service ecosystem.
  • Work with teams dedicated to content management membership notification delivery and digital marketing.
  • You love to learn grow and optimally bring new insights into the group.
  • You’re committed to the craft of software engineering and are eager to collaborate in taking Nike’s services and applications to the next level.
  • You value collaboration and interaction with your teammates and colleagues default to sharing early and look for help when needed over-delivering flawless results.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or relevant subject area; or combination of education and experience and training.
  • 5+ years of software development experience designing developing and testing sophisticated solutions and code in Web technologies such as Node.js & React or Java.
  • Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (e.g. Amazon GCE and Azure)
  • Experience designing and implementing web services.
  • Experience with microservice architectures domain-driven design and RESTful Services using the team’s language of choice.
  • Experience working with different database solutions like DynamoDB or MongoDB
  • Experience with continuous integration unit testing static analysis and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Scrum and agile principles.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced results-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to and hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to optimally connect with business and technical teams

Open to remote work except cannot work in South Dakota Vermont and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate.
