Job Description

Develops and presents data-driven insights and program recommendations to our largest and most complex ASO client groups and insurance brokers/consultants. Advises other stakeholders on BCNC healthcare programs and services medical policy provider network/reimbursement strategies and industry best practices to positively impact cost and population health outcomes. Delivers healthcare offer during formal sales presentations with prospective clients. Provides strategic guidance on evidence-based employer well-being programs and cost-saving programs. Leverages employer-group experience and expertise to inform enterprise strategies that improve BCNC competitive positioning. Provides subject matter expertise on healthcare industry topics to Sales & Marketing and Healthcare divisions and other Healthcare Consultants. Leads trainings and initiatives to improve the consultative services offered to client groups.

What You’ll Do
  • Manages large (1000+) and national BCBSNC clients in partnership with DnA and Sales Teams to develop and deliver annual/quarterly utilization reviews program updates and various healthcare topics
  • Accesses diverse reporting databases to collect and analyze data develop custom insights and make recommendations.
  • Analyzes client financial and utilization data to determine success of client’s current benefit approach and opportunities to lower healthcare cost and improve health.
  • Consults with large and national BCBSNC clients to advise on strategic evidence-based wellness programs and evaluation. Engages with client group clinic vendors as needed to maximize engagement and reporting capabilities.
  • Participates in monthly Care Management POD calls with assigned employer groups
  • Participates in formal executive-level finalist presentations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiates client specific engagements and effectively cross sells opportunities to various internal and external audiences including brokers/consultants
  • Works with Sales & Marketing staff to improve BCBSNC competitive positioning increase new membership and improve retention.
  • Assists Sales & Marketing with the planning and execution of key events for client groups (Healthcare Symposium Advisory Councils)
  • Supports Sales in responding to business requests from client groups involving healthcare programs operations and policies
  • Delivers market intelligence to key corporate partners to influence corporate and divisional goals and objectives in support of customer demand
  • Participates in cross-departmental workgroups and committees
  • Complies and synthesizes healthcare market intelligence from a variety of sources including publications and consulting encounters provided by Healthcare Consultants.
  • Works with Operations staff to understand internal capabilities related to current and future service offerings. This includes the ability to operationalize the benefits that our clients are requesting (e.g. client incentive strategies to encourage engagement with employees regarding behaviors impacting health).
  • Active participant in the implementation process of core healthcare services and offerings.
  • Promotes goodwill between BCBSNC and the community by maintaining contact with business leaders through participation in community affairs. Projects and maintains the corporate image within the community.
What You’ll Bring (Hiring Requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree (where required)
  • 5+ years of experience in related field.
    • In lieu of degree 7+ years of experience in related field.
