The Role

We are looking for an Instructional Designer who will be an individual contributor who uses instructional design knowledge and various media to complete complex instructional design assignments focusing on eLearning. Responsibilities include organizing developing revising and updating all aspects of course curriculums (i.e. storyboards content platforms and modules) evaluating revisions and updates for effectiveness maintaining online courses and programs creating graphic design components and producing instructional materials. Ensure completion of complex assignments within specified deadlines with the highest quality.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze and interpret user requirements technical specifications application features and functions to translate them into appropriate training formats.
  • Gather master synthesize and organize complex content from subject matter experts (SMEs) documentation and individual research.
  • Recommend strategies to improve instructional effectiveness.
  • Design and develop interactive and engaging instructional materials/activities (lessons courses modules activities exercises exams) using various tools and applications for WBTs/CBTs instructional format.
  • Evaluate instruction and instructional materials’ effectiveness by performing audience analysis and developing surveys and other instruments to evaluate the data.
  • Perform independent in-depth analysis of complex mostly technical information and tell the story for the learner.
  • Support all front-end analysis steps to include analyzing internal and external customer needs job performer requirements and associated content. This analysis will establish rigorous performance objectives for the solution and identify the optimum type or types of solutions to meet business requirements budget and time constraints.
  • Use established methodologies in all instructional design processes including needs assessment analysis design development implementation and evaluation.
  • Review products throughout analysis design and development for adherence to style guidelines writing standards and sensible course/task flow.

What You’ll Bring

  • Four (4) year degree in related field or certification in Instructional Design or related field; MA in Instructional Technology Instructional Design or Training and Development preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience developing analyzing and measuring instructional training programs using CBT and WBT products for internal and external customers.
  • Experience with e-learning applications such as Adobe Captivate Articulate etc. with additional experience preferred in In-Product training technologies such as InLine Manual and Pendo.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel PowerPoint Word and Outlook).
