We’ve got an opportunity…

We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual with excellent interpersonal skills to join our PIVOT service as an Administration Assistant.

Part of our Independent Living team the PIVOT service provides direct support for up to six weeks to vulnerable adults to prevent unscheduled admission to hospital and supports individuals being discharged home. You will assist the Team Leader by providing administrative and operational support enabling the service to carry out its important work.

You will be an efficient administrator who is confident responding to incoming enquiries from healthcare professionals and members of the public over the phone and by email.

This is a role which requires a motivated committed and enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills who has the ability to deal with people in a sensitive yet professional manner. You will be comfortable using IT systems and databases in your role and able to produce well written letters and emails.

The PIVOT service operates 0800 to 2000 Monday to Sunday; however we anticipate that the successful candidate would work between the hours of 0900 and 1700 Monday to Friday. We can offer flexibility in terms of days worked. Further details will be discussed at interview.

The Independent Living & Crisis Response service (IL/CR) supports people in the space between hospital and home and responds to the needs of people in crisis following an emergency; maintaining an extensive network of external relationships across health social care and emergency services.

PIVOT is a partnership project between the British Red Cross and the RVS C&R PAVS Hywel Dda Health Board and Pembrokeshire Unitary Authority. This post is initially fixed term until 30th June 2022 but will be ongoing subject to the renewal of funding. This post will be line-managed by the British Red Cross but the post holder will work closely within the collaborative partnership.

This role could be for you if…

  • You have a positive passionate and enthusiastic approach to customer service
  • You’re confident using telephone and email systems (Microsoft Outlook) and have the ability to create amend and manipulate information in Microsoft Word Excel Access and PowerPoint applications
  • You have experience of carrying out general administrative duties; dealing with incoming and outgoing mail scanning and filing.
  • You’re comfortable meeting and greeting customers and have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • You’re able to deal with queries in a diplomatic professional and confidential manner both verbally and in writing
  • You can work accurately when inputting data and checking documentation
