Compassion’s Fellowship program is a 9-month (September-May) opportunity for recent graduates and early career professionals to join innovative teams at Compassion in working on new and exciting projects in the organization. Fellows are entry-level contributors who are developed over these 9-months to be equipped to take the lead on projects in the future. Each Fellow is paired with a mentor who will offer them 1:1 coaching throughout this season with Compassion. They will also participate in various professional development opportunities such as conferences with other organizations Q&A times with innovative Thought-Leaders at Compassion and understanding their strengths and contributions in the workforce.
Compassion is looking for a recent college graduate or early career professional to be a part of an exciting 9-month fellowship as a Project Manager Fellow. This fellow will work in the USA Marketing department with the project management team to plan monitor and manage fundraising campaigns and internal process improvement initiatives from initiation through completion. The specialist will independently collaborate with project teams to further assist with managing projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. The dates of this full-time temporary role are August 29 2022 to May 26 2023. This is a remote opportunity.
What will you do?
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ maintains a courteous Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
The primary purpose of this entry-level professional includes using discretion and judgement to assist with project planning resourcing staffing supply and subcontract management on basic projects.
This incumbent uses basic project skills for monitoring and tracking deliverables and resolving issues helping to maintain the project plan and budget on basic projects.
The project manager applies entry project management skills to plan monitor and manage projects from initiation through completion. This includes developing assignments timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project.
This incumbent contributes to progress reporting troubleshooting and people management to include organizing team members and ensuring that materials and equipment resources are delivered on time.
The project manager monitors performance and recommends schedule changes cost adjustments or resource additions.
This incumbent helps satisfy project requirements regarding technical quality reliability schedule and cost.
