Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach assigned classes under the supervision of the Program Director (or designee).
• Aid students in fulfilling their maximum potential in mastering course content.
• Assess student learning outcomes.
• Maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in his/her regular teaching field.
• Continue professional development.
• Utilize current technology in the performance of job duties.
• Maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position.
• Assist with articulation and curriculum development and review.
• Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director.
• Fulfill other duties and responsibilities of an adjunct faculty member as outlined in the college faculty handbook.

Requirements:

• Applicants are required to possess either a master’s degree or Ph.D. in Biology or Microbiology, or a related field with at least 18 credits of graduate-level Microbiology.
• Must have college-level lecture and lab teaching experience, and lab preparation experience.
• Teaching experience using traditional, hybrid, and/or online methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational, computer, and problem-solving skills.
• Official copies of college transcripts must be on file by the appointment date for the successful candidate selected
