Job Responsibilities : Adjunct Faculty – Biology

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned classes under the supervision of the Program Director (or designee).
- Aid students in fulfilling their maximum potential in mastering course content.
- Assess student learning outcomes.
- Maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in his/her regular teaching field.
- Continue professional development.
- Utilize current technology in the performance of job duties.
- Maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position.
- Assist with articulation and curriculum development and review.
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director.
- Fulfill other duties and responsibilities of an adjunct faculty member as outlined in the college faculty handbook.
Requirements:
- Applicants are required to possess either a master’s degree or Ph.D. in Biology or Microbiology, or a related field with at least 18 credits of graduate-level Microbiology.
- Must have college-level lecture and lab teaching experience, and lab preparation experience.
- Teaching experience using traditional, hybrid, and/or online methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, computer, and problem-solving skills.
- Official copies of college transcripts must be on file by the appointment date for the successful candidate selected
