Job Responsibilities : Supervisory Customer Service Specialist (Bilingual)

Duties

  • Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities. Plans work to be accomplished; sets and adjusts priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work and assigns work based on priorities.
  • Provide active leadership in the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program administration. Identifies barriers to accomplishment of EEO goals and objectives and takes and/or recommends action(s) to eliminate such barriers.
  • Review and maintain Knowledge Articles for the AskUSDA initiative. Prepares reports on daily workload statistics. Ensures final format and quality of support information. Coordinates special ad hoc report requests.
  • Prepare and maintain tracking and training requirements for procedural changes. Tracks quality and timeliness indicators that reflect the overall level of service provided by the team supervised.
  • Provide advice and guidance to resolve implement or manage program or policy issues that involve major areas of uncertainty in approach or methodology.
  • Establish and maintain business relations with organizational leaders department managers and supervisors providing database consultation for organizational and department leads.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education as defined below.

For the GS-12 level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level; or its non-federal equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience supervising a work unit responsible for inbound and/or out bound customer service calls. Experience in all aspects of mortgage loan servicing operations to include loan closing/originations real estate tax/insurance payment assistance process debt collections moratorium documents and process escrow analysis payoff and recapture and cash processing. Experience with Call Center Management operations and effective data collection and the analysis to support process improvement; counsels and provides program guidance to delinquent customers; experience resolving the most complex customer and specialist issues negotiating problem resolutions providing answers to escalated customer questions.
There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-12 level.
