Job Responsibilities : Project Employee, Digital and Social Content Publishing – Facebook

Responsibilities
- Provide real-time game coverage by publishing content to the NBA’s Facebook pages including: @NBA @BestOfTheNBA and @NBAGameRecaps (this may include working days nights weekends and holidays)
- Create real-time posts about notable moments from games
- Upload videos around the NBA’s Facebook content franchises create copy for titles and descriptions add tags and attach video thumbnails for posts
- Schedule content throughout the day / night
- Assist with content planning for the NBA’s Facebook pages and develop content ideas for short form Reels longform videos photo albums graphics GIFs and text-only posts
- Strategize implement and track Facebook’s feedback guidelines and platform updates to best increase performance and monetization as well as analyze platform metrics to optimize content performance on the NBA’s Facebook pages
- Monitor NBA team and player Facebook pages for amplification on the NBA’s Facebook pages
- Ability to assist with publishing to additional NBA social platforms when needed
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Understanding of Facebook at an expert level and understands the way fans consume NBA content on the platform
- Understanding of the NBA at an expert level and is passionate about the storylines surroundings its players coaches teams statistics standings and history of the league
- Watches and consumes NBA basketball content on a daily and nightly basis
- Excellent understanding of basketball stats and analytics the rules of the game and the history of the game
- Strong editorial background in basketball culture and extensions of the game
- Understanding of the NBA’s social voice
- Strong experience publishing to Facebook or similar social media platforms for a sports brand or media organization
- Understanding of available Facebook data and metrics to inform decision-making
- Expert on the NBA’s season calendar of events
- Ability to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while handling critical tasks in a composed and timely manner
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Great communication skills and ability execute detailed feedback
