Job Summary:

The Business Insurance Specialist (BIS) team is Allstate’s internal commercial sales team that provides excellent customer experiences for small business owners looking for an insurance solution to protect their commercial business. This role is an inbound direct to consumer (D2C) commercial insurance sales role. As an inbound role the sales specialist works directly with the small business owner and is responsible for engaging prospects to become Allstate customers through relationship selling.

Since this role receives calls from anywhere in the US the Direct Business Insurance Sales specialists are licensed in property & casualty and can be licensed in all 50 states. Plus the District of Columbia along with Massachusetts. The specialists are responsible for engaging prospects and successfully closing sales opportunities through inbound and outbound contact in a way that enables the team to meet its customer satisfaction and sales performance goals.

This position is a permanent remote home-based worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office but it does need to be in the United States. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the cost of internet and phone expenses

This position is not available to California Alaska and Hawaii residents.

Compensation Data

Base compensation range for this position is $36000 – $45300 per year depending on experience and qualifications and up to an additional to 20%+ monthly performance-based variable compensation upon achieving sales goals and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide an exceptional sales experience to prospects through inbound and outbound calls to meet sales targets and performance goals.
  • Internal sales role to sell commercial insurance policies directly to small business customers.
  • Leverage selling techniques to successfully close sales and bind the business insurance policies.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service on all interactions with customers and prospects.
  • Develop subject matter expertise and remain current on new product offerings.
  • Proactively identify and act on cross-selling opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with a business owner to understand the risks that they face and how insurance products may assist them in managing those risks.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Basic PC aptitude.
  • 1-2 years sales experience or Insurance industry experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Regular predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

Compensation offered for this role is $36000.00-$45300.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
