THE POSITION

Do you enjoy working with people and have excellent problem solving skills? The Public Safety Human Resources Delivery Center’s Field HR Office 5 is looking for a Human Resource Assistant 1 to join our team! The position will be housed within SCI Houtzdale in Clearfield County Pennsylvania.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

You will facilitate compliance with a variety of human resource programs primarily involving employee relations. You will also perform various clerical and reporting tasks in support of Field Human Resource Office operations. Maintain Official Personnel Files (OPFs). Record monthly minutes for labor management meetings at SCI Houtzdale – PSCOA AFSCME CIVEA FOSCEP OPEIU PSSU and SEIU. Records types and distributes official meeting minutes to appropriate individuals. Generates various reports which may include leave usage temporary working out of classification errors seniority information etc.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday – Friday with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: Upon completion of a satisfactory 6-month probationary review candidate may be eligible to telework part-time. In order to telework you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Houtzdale.
  • Salary: In some cases the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of clerical or other comparable experience which involved obtaining providing and evaluating information in accordance with established standards; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
