Based in [London Stockholm or New York] this role will lead internal communications across a range of company-wide platforms. As the Head of Internal Communications you are expected to have impeccable communication project management and problem-solving skills the ability to work strategically creatively and collaboratively across multiple organizations and geographies and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as the need arises. This role reports to the Global Head of Markets and Business Unit Communications.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and develop the global internal communications strategy and vision aligning with Spotify’s key business initiatives and priorities and ensuring that all team members can contribute effectively
  • Work closely with C-Suite leaders to support strategic planning messaging and event preparation ensuring consistency with our strategy and goals
  • Provide counsel to internal partners executing programs ensuring satisfaction and anticipating needs and potential issues as they arise
  • Own and drive the content and channel strategy overseeing all internal comms channels and efforts
  • Advise teams on employee engagement strategy using Workplace Slack and other internal channels.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders across our Business Units (Content Markets Consumer Free Premium) and Global Units (Human Resources Strategy Ops Global Workplace Services Finance Legal) and partner closely with the BU and GU Comms leads to integrate internal comms strategies and tactics into their plans
  • Liaise with Global Workplace Services Human Resources and Strategy Operations to ensure integrated communications planning and execution
  • Provide counsel to internal partners executing programs ensuring satisfaction and anticipating needs and potential issues as they arise
  • Bring critical thinking and an unbiased and globally minded approach to issues impacting Spotify and its employees
  • Lead a high-performing team of practitioners and communicators to flawless implementation and quantifiable results
  • Collaborate with and lead creative AV teams on asset and communications content creation.
  • Support the ongoing professional growth and development of a best in class team through ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Exemplify Spotify’s mission and values in daily work

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of internal communications experience
  • Excellent writing and communications skills – journalism or related background preferred
  • Comfortable providing guidance and feedback to senior executives
  • Ability to lead a team work independently exercise good judgment adapt quickly and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions to develop manage and drive internal communications narratives
  • Ability to travel internationally
