Position summary

T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Senior Software Engineers located in Overland Park KS will lead the development of cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications.

Position duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with Software Development Life Cycle web applications and mobile application development using tools including React Native framework.

  • Working closely with business teams to identify objectives project scope solution space and design/development approach for various research applications.

  • Exploring and demonstrating new technologies related to web and mobile application development including ReactJS Spring and Express frameworks.

  • Working with Adobe Analytics Tools (Adobe Analytics) and Tag Management System with Mobile Programming.

  • Extracting data from multiple sources like Apache Kafka Database file systems and Messaging Queues for developing reliable business applications.

  • Usage of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools like Jenkins Git/GitLab’s and Docker registry/daemon for configuration management and automation using Ansible.

Telecommuting is permitted but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Skill requirements:

Must have professional experience in:

  • Programming and scripting languages used to build responsive web UI including Angular Node JS Vue JS HTML5 Bootstrap JavaScript Bootswatch and ES6.

  • Restructuring database schemas by applying professional experience in Oracle MongoDB Relational SQL and NoSQL databases and integrated queries with iBATIS.

  • Utilizing AWS S3 experience for ImageMagick for resizing of scalable performance and exploring marketing technologies developed using cloud Microservices Spring Boot and Spring Cloud services.

  • Designing configuring developing coding testing and maintaining web applications and web services specifically related to development of TypeScript and JavaScript tags used for data analytics in Tag Management System and Adobe Analytics.

  • Performing unit testing using Mocha and Chai JavaScript testing tools for testing JavaScript pages. Utilizing regression and debugging tools such as Selenium Web driver Chrome Developer Tools and Charles Proxy.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Technology Computer Science or related and 1 year of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Technology Computer Science or related and 3 years of relevant work experience.
