Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Global Account Representative (GAR) to manage our customer relationships with one of the largest Pharmaceutical companies in the world. The GAR will be responsible for providing global business leadership and management of one or two business units in a large global account. You will build and maintain key relationships develop and manage opportunities monitor deployment projects and engage virtual resources. You will define a CXO relationship strategy within the account including engaging with AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorships coordinating executive business reviews and maintaining customer satisfaction. The candidate will own define develop and execute a business plan and consistently deliver on revenue targets while thinking strategically about long term customer outcomes.

Key job responsibilities
The GAR is responsible for teaming with the customer’s Business & IT Organizations to build strategic relationships across the account articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm while impacting all business groups. The GAR is responsible for selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. They will work with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives Solution Architects Business Development Marketing Partners Support Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests. This includes dotted line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources that may be geographically distributed. Development of formal case studies and other forms of references highlighting activity and workloads running on AWS is core to the role.

  • Experience as the primary account manager or team leader for a global federated enterprise working with multiple business units and influencing governance and policy is a plus.
  • 5+ years experience working with a Global Life Sciences or Healthcare Technology as a Global Account and Relationship Manager.
  • A BA or BS degree in computer science engineering business marketing or related field and a minimum of 10+ years of enterprise selling experience in large global accounts.
  • MBA
  • Other experiences to include: experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record; ability to navigate across AWS and the customer in a trusted advisor/consultative approach; and establishing credibility quickly with senior level executives across the organizations
  • A strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (Iaas SaaS PaaS) would be preferred but not required.
  • Healthcare & Life Sciences Industry Knowledge specifically Big Data Analytics Sales experience (Data Lakes Data Analytics)

The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $142800-$193200/year; however base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position offered.
